CHESA Grand Rounds, featuring Lifebox

CHESA Grand Rounds: Surgical quality improvement in low-income environments: sustaining, adapting and scaling the Lifebox Clean Cut program

CHESA Grand Rounds featuring Lifebox

Register

August 26, 7 – 8:30 am Pacific, 5 – 6:30 pm East Africa.

Presented in English with simultaneous French and Spanish interpretation.

Surgical site infections (SSIs) occur after surgery in the part of the body where the surgery took place. SSIs are the leading hospital acquired infection in low- and middle-income countries and can lead to serious complications.

Reducing surgical site infections is one of Lifebox’s three core pillars of Safer Surgery. Clean Cut –  based on the WHO Surgical Safety Checklist – is a three to six month program that works to strengthen a hospital’s perioperative infection prevention practices and save lives.

Join CHESA as we host the Lifebox team in Grand Rounds to discuss the development, implementation, and scale of Clean Cut across surgical subspecialties and geographies.

CHESA Director Dr. Doruk Ozgediz will host this Grand Rounds along with UCSF MS4 Ruth Laverde.
