CHESA Members Fund

CHESA Members are eligible to apply for funding to initiate and support member-driven activities and initiatives that are relevant to CHESA’s mission of advancing health equity in perioperative care. Examples of previous activities supported by CHESA include trainings, conference travel, research support, professional development, and sponsorship of meetings or events.

Funding may be awarded under the following guidelines:

  • The request may not exceed $2,500.
  • Amount of the award will be decided on a case-by-case basis and depend on CHESA’s available budget, which varies annually.
  • No more than one award shall be awarded to an individual member in a given calendar year.
  • Funding requests must be sent to CHESA at least three months in advance for review by the CHESA team and processing of your award through the UCSF system. If requests are submitted sooner than the three-month timeframe, we cannot guarantee support. If your request is approved, we ask for your patience and cooperation in processing the payment and complying with all necessary UCSF policies and required documentation.
  • All awardees shall be required to submit a written report with photograph(s) outlining activities supported by CHESA. The awardee must agree for CHESA to use their photos for public purposes.
