Sarah Temkin, MD, Director and Producer of 1001cuts drew from her background as a gynecologic oncologist and her work in health equity to share insights from the film, which explores gender-based discrimination and persistent inequities in the field of surgery. A panel of UCSF faculty followed, sharing their own experiences and discussed key strategies such as mentorship to address bias and sexism in the operating theater and beyond.
